Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has asked members of parliament from the Rift Valley to think twice even as they contemplate the impeachment motion. Rigathi says that the members of parliament from the Rift Valley should think twice as they cannot betray the trust that was accorded to them by the Mt Kenya voters during the last General elections.
Gachagua says that he traversed the country while soliciting for votes for the now elected leader’s even in Rift Valley. He further adds that he was arrested, his property confiscated and also tortured before his wife and children. He asks them a question that if they were to impeach such a person, then who would trust them going further as a community when Ruto shall have served his two terms.
Gachagua says that his decision to support William Ruto was enough reason to stop the members of parliament from impeaching him.
