Due to tough times being experienced in almost all parts of the world Kenyans are now getting shocked each day as it dawns due to fluctuations of prices of common essential commodities.
Recently the fuel went up and now all the expectations of having a better life was brushed off and hope dwindled. According to Tuko,now the price of two kilograms of sugar one will be required to pay more than five hundred shillings. This comes after the decline of local production resulting to closing down of local millers.

Sugar is used in many ways in making foodstuffs and this goes by within saying that all products that use sugar will also be affected as their prices will directly go up as well. This will affect many business which depend on sugar as a raw products to make their goods for sale.
