Earlier, kenyans were left with sadness following the death of Kevin Kiptum, a 24-year-old athlete who died in a road accident. According to sources, Kiptum was driving his Toyota Premio with his coach Gervais Hakizima when they got the accident in the Kaptagat area along Eldoret-Ravine road.

After his sudden demise, Mali Safi Chito hitmaker Marakwet daughter released a song mourning his demise. The song which has good lyrics touched the hearts of many as it urged mourners to calm down and let the heavens speak. In the song, Marakwet daughter also observes that a legend had gone and she takes the opportunity to console his mother who carried him for nine months.

“Ooh our mighty lord, our gracious father, let the heavens speak on behalf of our fallen hero Kiptum.. the heavens will pour out the truth in a few, be strong and keep calm our community, the heavens will speak soonest” part of the lyrics sang.

Many kenyans on social media have been highly comforted by the song and they now hope that the legend will rest in eternal peace.
