Former mathare constituency member of parliament aspirant hon Alinur Mohammed has slammed the government through the interior cabinet secretary Kithure Kindiki for declaring Friday as a public holiday.
According to Alinur on his Twitter page, he has said that the government giving directives instead of the chief Khadhi is a very wrong move.
He claimed that the Muslim might go on and continue with their fasting on Friday whereas the government has already pronounced it as a holiday to mark the Eid Mubarak.
“The Government still giving directives instead of the chief khadhi they are doing on behalf of the office of chief khadhi. It’s very wrong and what if Friday we will fast. This is totally wrong. We never seen this before,” he said.
This comes after Kithure Kindiki announced through a gazette notice to the public that the country with he honouring the Muslim Ramadan celebration by a public holiday on Friday.
