Kenyans were awakened to the news that singer Stivo Simple Boy had returned to Kibera from his Buruburu home, allegedly due to unpaid rent. Weeks after the singer of Mihadarati passed out live on TV, the news was announced.
Following the tragic events, Stivo’s departing manager, Chingi Boy, talked with TUKO.co.ke about the singer’s hardships. After relocating to a posh Buruburu apartment, Mihadarati singer Stivo Simple Boy is back in Kibera after several months away.
Peter Salasya, the Member of Parliament for Mumias East, upgraded Stivo and covered his rent for several months. Chingi got hold of Stivo’s social media profiles.
This was in opposition to the crooner’s acrimonious split from his previous manager, whom he accused of breaching the contract.
As the singer’s new manager, fellow musician Chingi Boy Mstado took the singer under his wing and set about trying to stabilize him.
Securing his social media accounts from his estranged management unit was one of the loose ends he tied off. Famous politicians like Salasya and Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, whom he also introduced to the singer, offered to finance him.
Chingi announced on social media on Saturday, March 30, that he was sick of helping and that his efforts were being ignored. “It’s challenging to assist someone who refuses assistance. You’ll assist someone, but he was doing well. Someone’s wife and their family are fighting with me. I’m over walking on hurtful thorns.
