Athi River based Sheila Wegesha died allegedly at the hand of her second husband inside their home. At the funeral in Homa Bay county, the children from her previous relationships sat close to their father Samuel Odoyo lookingworried and sad .
Out of the two daughters, one was named Nicole, and she was a learner at St Charles Lwanga Ichuni Girls High School. According to the novel’s plot, after the death of Wegesha the school gave Nicole an assurance that she would not need to pay school fees any more. They consoled her by telling her that the school would provide for all the educational needs from that point onwards.

As much as one can still debate about the circumstances that led to Wegesha’s death, such an act of assisting the children she left behind is the most natural thing to do.
