Recently, governor of Trans Nzoia County, H.E. George Natembeya sacked four CECs in his government. This has now forced him to look for new people who are going to occupy those positions. One of the docket that was left without a CEC, is the ministry of health. Speculations doing rounds social media platforms says, possibly governor Natembeya could consider appointing former cabinet secretary for ministry of health Hon. Susan Nakhumicha to hold that docket despite the fact that she was once a senior person in the National Government.

According to a post published by Kitale based journalist Njenga Kariuki, he has clearly speculated that Nakhumicha is a possible candidate for the position of Health CEC in Trans Nzoia County under stewardship of Governor George Natembeya. Kariuki has further gone ahead saying, such docket is given out on grounds matters politics and at the end of it all Politics is a game understood by those ones who are involved in it.

This post has attracted mixed reactions from netizens as it can be clearly seen on the official Facebook timeline of Njenga Kariuki. A faction of Trans Nzoia residents have commented saying, Nakhumicha is the daughter of Trans Nzoia, therefore if such position can be given to her, it will not for her personal good but for the entire people of Trans Nzoia county whom she will be mandated to serve. To them, Nakhumicha has vast experience needed in health docket therefore she stands a better chance of running well health sector in Trans Nzoia county.
