When President William Ruto and ODM party leader Raila Odinga sealed a political truce after months of tensions, former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju was mentioned as being one of those behind the ceasefire deal.

Raila and Ruto signed a political deal that saw opposition heavyweights led by former ODM party national chairman John Mbadi appointed as the new Treasury Cabinet Secretary.

Similarly, former Governors Wycliffe Oparanya ( Kakamega) and Hassan Joho ( Mombasa) were also handed ministerial assignments.

Former National Assembly Minority leader and Ugunja MP James Opiyo Wandayi was appointed as Energy Cabinet Secretary.

But almost two months later, Tuju, the man who was believed to be among those behind the Ruto- Raila deal, is nowhere to be seen even as he maintains a very low profile.

Known for his political shrewdness, the former Jubilee Party Secretary General, has managed to serve in all the previous governments since the days of the late President Mwai Kibaki.

Going forward, amid his low political profile, what does future hold for Tuju? Where is he? And why is he silent?
