Amid ousted Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua political woes, details gave emerged on how the former Mathira member of parliament ruthlessly sacked employees who worked for Ruto, who was DP under the former president Uhuru Kenyatta.
As reported by Wednesday’s Nation publication, Rigathi Gachagua sacked the employees as he wanted people who are loyal to him.
The report claims that the staff was yesterday blocked from accessing his residence in Karen after some were send on a compulsory leave.
A source who did not want to be named revealed that efforts to persuade Mr Gachagua to let them continue working failed.
The report as well claims that Rigathi Gachagua had failed to eat meals prepared by the staff at Karen over fear of food poisoning and instead opted to have his food prepared and served by wife Pastor Dorcus Rigathi.
This is amid assassination attemps he made a day and was summoned to record a statement at Directorate of Criminal Investigations but yesterday, he failed to honour the summon amid his ongoing case that is seeking to overturn his ouster as deputy president of republic of Kenya.
It should be noted that the three judges bench will be making a ruling today on whether to recurse themselves from the case today as per the same reports.
