On the night of 28th May, 2023, Mike Sonko took to his Twitter to celebrate Satrin Osinya’ s birthday through an expression of great affection. Sonko showered the child with heartfelt birthday wishes, acknowledging him as a true blessing to their family. ” What a remarkable blessing you are to us, Baby Satrin Osinya. I am overjoyed that you entered our lives, bringing a sense of perfection, ” Sonko stated with deep emotion. Mike Sonko finally revealed their tradition on the anniversary of Satrin Osinya and Gift Osinya’ s mother’ s death.

In 2014, Baby Satrin Osinya became an integral part of the Sonko family following a tragic terrorist attack at a church in Likoni. The attack claimed the life of Satrin’ s mother and left a bullet lodged in his head. Urgent measures were taken, and Satrin was swiftly transported to Nairobi for a successful surgery to remove the bullet. Sonko expressed immense gratitude, acknowledging the miraculous intervention of God. He shared a heartfelt message, proclaiming Satrin as their ” Miracle Baby” and a cherished member of their family, regardless of any circumstances.

As Satrin’ s birthday was commemorated, Sonko pledged to provide him with the best opportunities life has to offer, appreciating his growth into a disciplined and responsible young boy. Sonko’ s sole prayers for Satrin are good health and future success. Sonko concluded his message by wishing his beloved son a happy birthday, assuring him of eternal love.

During an online interaction, an inquisitive individual inquired about the Osinya brothers’ connection to their relatives in Busia. Sonko responded by revealing their tradition of visiting their late mother’ s grave in Busia on the anniversary of her passing. This heartfelt gesture showcased Sonko’ s thoughtfulness and deep- rooted connection to family.

Satrin Osinya’ s journey has been marred by unimaginable pain and adversity. A jihadist bullet became embedded in his skull, and financial constraints prevented his father from promptly seeking medical assistance. The situation was exacerbated by the absence of a neurosurgeon in their home county of Mombasa. Amidst the biological father’ s great anguish and the baby’ s excruciating pain, words of solidarity poured in from all corners of Kenya.

The attack, orchestrated by armed militants on a church in Likoni, claimed the lives of several individuals, including Satrin’ s mother. After enduring a day of suffering at Mombasa Hospital, Satrin received aid from the Africa Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF), which facilitated his transfer to Kenyatta National Hospital in Nairobi. A team of five neurosurgeons carefully deliberated on the procedure to remove the bullet from his head.

In the face of tragedy, a glimmer of hope emerged. Baby Satrin Osinya emerged from the hospital, accompanied by his biological father, Gift Osinya, doctors, and hospital staff, with smiles and laughter illuminating the scene.
