As leaders assembled at Safari Park for the 21st National Prayer Breakfast at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko caught the attention of those present with his flashy dressing.

Sonko dressed a green three-piece suit, also known as a waistcoat suit with a matching set of jacket, tie, hat and shoe.

The outfit also caught the attention of President William Ruto who engaged the former Governor in a tete-a tete while walking out of the prayer breakfast venue.

The annual breakfast prayers organized by Parliamentary leadership was attended by top leaders from the executive and legislature including Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, his Senate counterpart Amason Kingi, Cabinet Secretaries, MPs, Diplomats, members of the clergy among other guests.

On his social media accounts Sonko posted a humorous post on his dress code which attracted a mixed reaction from netizens.

The former Governor posted: “Ati mnasema hii look yangu imefanya kila mtu acheke ati niko na wedding after breakfast meeting”

A number of Kenyans reacted to the post with majority of them expressing satisfaction with the flashy outfit.
