Gladys Shollei Adjourning the house
The Parliament is currently debating on the impeachment of the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua with emphasis on the postponement of the Thursday sittings to allow for public participation on Friday.
Parliament without the Quorum
The deputy speaker of the National assembly Gladys Shollei was forced to adjourn the house for close for 15 minutes to allow for members of Parliament to make their way into the Chambers after they lacked the quorum.
According to the speaker who was presiding over the matter the house did not achieve the required number of members of Parliament to discuss any matter in the flow of the house and therefore ordered the sergeants at arms to open the doors.
Today the members of Parliament are discussing the adjournment of the Thursday and Friday settings to allow members of Parliament participate in public participation, which has been gazetted today by the speaker of the National Assembly and which will take place on Friday..
