According to an update shared by the head of state President William ruto, he today held a meeting with an international dignitary from the Cuban state who paid him a courtesy call at State House.

Present during the meeting was the head of state President William ruto’s advisor on matters security the former cabinet secretary in charge of Defense Monica Juma, together with the chief of the Kenya defense forces Francis Ogolla and a host of government officials.

In his statement, President William ruto noted that Kenya and Cuba will continue to share a long-standing relationship that emanates from the 70s.

In his statement President William ruto said, “Kenya and Cuba have had excellent diplomatic relations for more than two decades. Met Mr Esteban Lazo Hernandez, the President of the National Assembly of People’s Power, at State House Nairobi. Mr Hernandez brought a special message from President Miguel Diaz-Canel of Cuba.”
