As the battle for the 2027 roadmap intensifies, politics has been heating up each day

Happening now from Jubilee Party Headquarters, Deputy Party Leader Fred Matiang’i has addressed a packed press briefing, breaking his silence on the swirling controversies surrounding the party’s leadership and its future alliances.

Standing flanked by party loyalists, Matiang’i’s message is clear that former President Uhuru Kenyatta should be left out of petty political wrangles.

The briefing was prompted by recent, stinging allegations from top ODM (Orange Democratic Movement) officials.

Some leaders within the Orange camp have openly accused the former President who remains the Jubilee Party leader of allegedly orchestrating a sale of the ODM party to outside interests ahead of the next general election.

Matiang’i has now dismissed these claims as baseless propaganda aimed at tarnishing the legacy of a retired Head of State.

He has emphasized that Uhuru Kenyatta has transitioned into a statesman role and should not be used as a punching bag or a convenient scapegoat for internal fissures within other political outfits.

The former Interior Cabinet Secretary has not minced his words while addressing the ODM leadership.

He has cautioned them against dragging Jubilee’s top brass into their own internal strategic failures.

He has now demanded respecting for jubilee party sovereignty. Matiang’i has noted that Jubilee is a distinct entity with its own agenda and will not be intimidated by external noise.

He has also hinted that while alliances are a part of politics, they must be built on mutual respect rather than coercion or public vilification.

By stepping into the spotlight, Matiang’i has signaled that Jubilee is ready to protect its territory and its leader.

As the 2027 polls draw closer, this friction between former handshake partners suggests a significant realignment is underway.
