According to available sources, President William Ruto’s Cabinet Secretary for Mining and Blue Economy, His Excellency Hassan Joho, has broken silence as he reveals that he had the opportunity to jet out of the country to Indonesia for a top event.

“At the invitation of His Excellency Dr. Mohamad Hery Saripudin, the Indonesian Ambassador to Kenya, I had the great pleasure of attending the commemoration of Indonesia’s 79th Independence Day,” Joho stated during his address to the press. The event, which is of great national importance to Indonesia, provided a unique platform for leaders and representatives from various countries to share insights, celebrate achievements, and strengthen diplomatic relations.

Joho’s trip to Indonesia is not only about attending the celebration. The Cabinet Secretary is also using the opportunity to strengthen ties between Kenya and Indonesia in areas of trade, investment, and development. As the CS for Mining and Blue Economy, Joho’s participation in such an international event is seen as a step toward boosting economic cooperation between the two nations. He plans to hold meetings with Indonesian investors and business leaders to explore potential collaborations in Kenya’s growing mining and blue economy sectors.

During his trip Joho aims to further woo investors to Kenya, showcasing the country’s vast potential in mineral resources and marine-based industries. His focus will be on creating sustainable partnerships that could benefit both countries by leveraging Indonesia’s advanced expertise in the blue economy sector, while offering Kenya’s rich and largely untapped resources.

As Joho continues his diplomatic mission abroad, it is expected that this visit will open new doors for Kenya’s economic growth and enhance international collaboration in crucial industries. His engagement in Indonesia highlights the growing importance of nurturing international relations to foster national development.
