Celebrated Kenyan singer-cum-entrepreneur Judith Nyambura alias Avril has remembered her late dad via a cute post.
The voluptuous ‘Nikimuona’ hit maker infact did so on Friday the 22nd of March, which happens to be the exact day that her father died in 2016.
Well Avril took to her Instagram stories and posted a photo of her and her late dad, that was taken when she was still very young many years ago.
According to the photo, the late dad was presumably celebrating Avril’s birthday, because he had a cake that had some candles that were lit on it.
The talented singer then accompanied the photo with a caption of the date that he had passed on and added an avatar of her blowing kisses.

Avril loses her father
As mentioned above Avril unfortunately lost her father on the 22nd of March 2016.
According to reports, the late dad died because he suffered two heart attacks.
“He just had a heart attack and we thought he ws going to be okay, then all of a sudden he was not okay and he had a second heart attack, which was a bit more severe” Avril said in a previous interview.
A few weeks before his death, he was reportedly admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at the Nairobi Hospital, but he was discharged after his condition improved.
Avril Nyambura was actually the one who broke the unfortunate news of her dad passing on, when she posted on her Instagram account a picture of a door leading to an ICU room and added the caption:
“Faith in God includes faith in His timing. Rest now!”.
Avril gets affected by her father’s death
Avril was actually heartbroken after losing her father in 2016.
Apart from just the pain, it also affected her to the extent that she almost quit her music career because of it.
The mother of one disclosed this in an interview that she had with Adelle Onyango in April 2020, when she said:
“Music is a jealous lover, or the entertainment industry is jealous. I have wanted so many times to say you know what, I am ending this, and in so many ways I feel I am in that space”.
Avril added:
“My dad questioned a lot while he was sick and it made us question a lot”.
“I got into that zombie state of questioning so much. You never know what life is going to be but you know there is an end to it. My life started becoming a bit more conscious and awakened from the time my dad passed on”.
