From the halls of Strathmore university to the global classrooms of Oxford university ,this journey was never just about degrees . It was about destiny . I raised my children on my own in the middle of a broken marriage , but they never broke me . They gave me grace . They made motherhood gentle . They allowed me to be a mother and a woman with dreams .
Today , my firstborn daughter begins her masters in Global marketing journey in the UK settled ,focused and ready to run her businesses globally . Watching her rise heals every scar I never spoke about . I am Akothee , the president of single mothers . She is a renowned Kenyan businesswoman philanthropist and musician known as “Madam boss” who rose from humble beginnings as a teen mother to build a business empire including the Akothee foundation . She is popularly known of her hit song like “Djele Djele ” . She has a total of five children ( three daughters and two sons ) from different relationships .
