The governor of Kisii County Simba Arati today arrived at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Nairobi to record a statement of the leaked audio indicating how the police officers will plant guns at his home in Kisii and Nairobi to have him arrested.

Simba arrived at the DCI offices with his lawyers Governor James Orengo, Senior council Otiende Amollo where he recorded a statement.
Speaking with journalists outside the DCI offices Orengo said that the recorded audio from the CCIO in Kisii issued orders on how the guns will be planted in his homes indicating that those involved want to derail the governor from performing his duties as a Governor.
Omollo equally said that they wanted to see the action that will be taken since Simba Arati had lodged a complaint with the DCI against the DCI. He further indicated that that they had an option of taking the law into their hands but chose to follow the legal way.
According to Omollo, they were assured that an action will be taken as the investigation will begin immediately and if anyone is found guilty to have taken part in the conspiracy, he/she will be brought to book.
Simba Arati has been facing a stiff fights from some of the leaders who do not align themselves with his leadership ideologies. These have led to fights in public forums and even leading to a derail in his performance.
South Mugirango MP Silvanus Osoro, Kisii County Woman Representative Dorice Aburi, Kitutu Chache North MP Japhet Nyakundi have been condemning the governor in public functions saying he has failed Kisii county. This has led to confrontations between supporters of Simba Arati and those Against him.
However, Simba Arati has been daring them saying he won’t be threatened. Recently while addressing Boda Boda riders in Kisii Stadium he equally pointed fingers at the Education CS Ezekiel Machogu who according to him, was making both ends meet to investigate authenticity of his papers. However, Machogu has since not responded.
