A moment of silence has been witnessed during a function in Machakos County after President William Ruto has publicly offered a solution to media personnel who have been writing stories about him.
For weeks now, there have been several top headlines from newspapers outlets which have been showcasing how the president has been making foreign trips outside the country.
This has compelled him to confront the media and has in the process delivered what he had intented for them to hear from him today while at Machakos.
According Ruto, he has told those writing stories about him that he has been seeing them with old writing devices and he has asked them to get new ones so that they can continue writing about him.
In addition, he has said that he actually doesn’t have any issue with what they are writing about him as he believes that it is their creativity that they are using. He has also promised that he will never complain on whatever is written about him.
“Even to my media guys, my friends, the good people who write many stories about me and all the other stories. They are very good people because they are creative and innovative in what they do. I still see you with ipads they are abit old fashioned, they’re not ipads you know writing pads. These factory here can make for you digital pads you know ndio muweze kuandika ile story. And muendelee tu kuandika story this is good it is okay, it is good for us. That is what society is made of and you’ll never hear me complaining about your stories, write them,” said President Ruto.
