In an interview with YouTuber Nicholas Kioko, Manzi regretted how the elderly man scavenged for scrap and stated that the truth is she never knew that the man was selling his household items to take care of them while they were still in a relationship.
After appearing in a dismal state in the impoverished Kibera neighborhood, the elderly man claimed that she avoided him after enjoying the fruits of his labour, and now he is left with nothing.
She also taunted the elderly man, claiming that he used to flirt with other girls when they were together, but she sympathized with his current situation.
“I feel really sorry for the old man, and in this stormy time, I stand with him. But those DMs he used to respond to, I’m surprised, I thought he would find another beautiful lady, but if he has decided to come and cry, and I think he left me with a heavy heart, what else can I say, I just pity him,” said the Kibera Lady.
“To be honest, I didn’t know that the old man was selling his belongings to take care of me, and I feel sorry for him, I pray for good things for him, I really have nothing else to say, I feel bad about those stories, but at the same time, I am happy with my new partner here,” she added.
When asked what she would do to help the elderly man overcome the poor life he found himself in after enjoying good times with him, she said,
“I will stand with him through prayers. I will support him through prayers only, and if it’s money, maybe just five thousand, we will see.”
Her new partner supported her in this and said he had given her permission to go and console her ex.
“Now, what you will do is comfort him, don’t show any bitterness, let it be that you are together even though you have separated a little. And if he has any problem, please help him,” advised the 75-year-old man.
