Showdown looms as Jubilee Party which is led by former President Uhuru Kenyatta has now tendered a proposal at the Bomas of Kenya that the head of state President William Ruto had shut down.

Jubilee party has now reignited the one man, one vote, one shilling debate after it formed part of their proposal at the ongoing National Dialogue Committee Session at the Bomas of Kenya.

Jubilee party wants the government to roll out the one, man , one vote, one shilling programme eventhough an earlier attempt by the Mt Kenya leaders to advocate for this move was shut down by the President.

The one man, one vote, one shilling formula of sharing the government resources is seen to favour the counties and regions with the high populations and if enrolled will negatively impact on the areas with low population.

In the current revenue sharing formula, population caters for the 45% , basic equal share 25% , poverty 20%, land area 8% and fiscal responsibility covers 2%.
