Governor Patrick Ole Ntutu, father-in-law of the late MP Johana Ng’eno, has addressed the community of Emurua Dikirr regarding the role of the late politician’s widow in the family.Speaking during funeral period, the governor provided clarity on cultural expectations and family bonds in light of the tragedy that claimed Ng’eno’s life.

According to Governor Ntutu, while the widow is not originally from their community, she remains an integral part of the Ng’eno family.

“We want to tell the Ng’eno community, especially in African customs, particularly among the Maasai and Kipsigis, that she is not originally ours.

Even though Johana Ng’eno is gone, she is your child, and she will continue to be part of the Ng’eno family until God reunites us in heaven,” he stated.

The statement was seen as both a message of reassurance and a reaffirmation of family values, emphasizing respect, unity, and the continuation of bonds even after the loss of a loved one.

Governor Ntutu’s remarks sought to prevent misunderstandings or tensions within the community regarding the widow’s role and to highlight the importance of cultural traditions in guiding family relationships during times of grief.Earlier, The wife of the late Johanna Ng’eno, Naiyanoi Ntutu, has sworn an assurance and commitment to stand by the people of Emurua Dikirr.

Naiyanoi has said that she will continue helping the constituents that her husband served until his premature demise.

Naiyanoi thanked people of Emurua Dikirr for showing love during mourning period and promised that nothing could separate her family and the locals, and she would continue helping them as she could.
