Senior Police Inspector was nabbed while at his house in the campus after going into hiding hours after his car was sprayed by bullets by unknown assailants. The vehicles details were directly linked to the rogue officer after a search at the National Transport Authority (NTSA) indicated he was the owner. A senior police Inspector based at Embakasi-B campus was arrested by sleuths in an undercover operation consisting of Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) based Special Crimes Unit. This comes after a vehicle packed at a petrol station in Nairobi County was found with thousands of bullets after reportedly being shot at.
According to The Standard digital news platform, the officer was arrested and escorted to Ruai Police Station where he was interrogated on the connection between the bullets found and similar ones suspected to be used by criminals in the city and it’s environs. He will be charged tomorrow for illegal possession of ammunition and fire arms.
