Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi has spoken out against the viral silhouette illustrations circulating on social media, which he claims are being used to spread hatred and undermine respect for authority.

Ahmednasir dismissed the notion that the silhouettes, popular among critics of the government, are an expression of freedom of speech. Instead, he described them as tools for promoting negativity and hostility toward leaders.

“I have said many times, but nobody listens to me—why are the police not arresting this cartoonist?” he questioned. “This is not freedom of speech. This is peddling hatred and painting our leaders black.”

The Senior Counsel urged law enforcement to identify and apprehend the artist behind the controversial images, emphasizing that such actions go beyond artistic expression and harm the dignity of those in leadership.
