The Security Manager of East Africa Spectre Limited Humphrey Waswa, a company linked to the Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance boss Raila Odinga, has broken silence on what transpired on Monday when goons attacked the company.
Speaking to the media, Waswa revealed that police officers intervened quickly and only few damages were witnessed, adding that the goons were around 50 on motorbikes with a backup of around 4 land cruisers.
He added that the incident was abrupt, and even though they did not imagine of the attack, they were alert and no casualty was recorded.
“At around 11:40 in the morning, group of 50 people on motorbikes came around and attacked us and they were supported by four unmarked vehicles. We think that the target was our managing director since her office has been damaged so much. The investigations are currently underway.”
“We do not have any injuries or casualties only the property has been damaged. Most of our people park outside, but luckily today they parked inside.”
“It took like 30 minutes, and we thank the police who we have around, and who responded very well and also our staff because everyone was alert.”
