Kenya are likely to experience the second wave of Gen Z protests should the youths heed to the call of Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni.

Speaking during a rally in Kajiado county on Sunday, Mr Kioni has encouraged the Gen Zs to keep keen watch on the appointment of the IEBC commissioners in a process that is set to kick off soon, urging them not to accept any form games in the appointment.

Kioni who is also seen as former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s close confidant urged the Generation Z youths not to hesitate to take to streets to protest against fair and open appointment of the commissioners.

“Appointment of IEBC commissioners is just around the corner. I want to request Kenyas especially the Gen Zs to keep keen watch, if they joke around to do whatever you did last time.” He said

Kioni’s message to Gen Zs comes just few days after a commission that will appoint the commissioners had been established, waiting for the process to kick off officially.

Kioni maintained that as opposition leaders, the want only new faces in the team, insisting that Hussein Marjan Hussein who was one of the commissioners in the 2022 disputed elections also leave.
