Actress Sandra Dacha says doctors said her ‘bae’ Akuku Danger was going to die.
Speaking during a medical fundraiser on Saturday, Dacha said God did a miracle for him.
Akuku was in ICU for a week and spent almost two months in the hospital after his lungs collapsed due to Sickle cell.
“It was not easy, so many nurses and doctors from the United States, Canada and East Africa told me you were not going to make it.
They said he (Akuku) was not going to recover from illness because he had heart failure and kidney failure. I cried for four days, he was in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) for seven days and bills had reached KSh 2 million,” she said.
She also thanked her boss Churchill, other comedians and fans for coming through for them in their lowest moments.
She added that they managed to raise up to about Ksh3.5million (including pledges) of the total bill of Ksh 4.5 M.
“We will now have to put in work to settle the bill of what’s left.”
