Nairobi Regional Commander Adamson Bungei on Tuesday, came face to face with protesters along Moi Avenue in Nairobi.

The city’s police boss encountered the protesters while patrolling the streets. However, the protesters were peaceful and took time to interact with Bungei, who has been at the center of criticism in the past after disallowing protests in Nairobi’s CBD.

The protesters could be seen struggling to shake hands with Bungei, who is seen forcing his way through the crowd to continue with his patrolling. At one point, the protesters could be heard shouting “we are peaceful” as Bungei waves at them and proceeds with his mission

Police officers are yet to disperse huge crowds that have already started forming and protesting along most CBD streets.

It was expected that the Gen Zs would storm JKIA but as per the time of this publication, things are still peaceful in and outside the airport.

Some of the boda boda riders earlier on stormed the CBD carrying placards, asking Kenyans to keep off demonstrations and observe peace.

Already, protesters have stormed Outering Road in Embakasi, blocking roads and paralyzing transport in the area. In Kitengela, there is no any major demonstration incidence as witnessed in past protests
