According to reliable sources, it has been established that the company is planning to temporarily shutdown it’s operations on Saturday, May 20, for maintenance. While communicating to its customers, Safaricom apologised following scheduled maintenance that will temporarily shut down M-Pesa, Fuliza and Hustler Fund among other services

According to the company, this move comes following the deal between Safaricom and London-based Vodafone to acquire M-Pesa Holdings Ltd. The telco noted that other services, including voice, data, SMS, and other M-Pesa services will be available as usual. Kenyan customers have been argued to stay informed in order to avoid being affected by the inconveniences
