A family has been thrown into mourning after discovering that their 17-year-old son was among those killed amidst the anti-government protests.
The search for Franklin Otieno ended at Kenyatta National Hospital Mortuary where his lifeless body was discovered.
Otieno was last seen on 2nd July 2024 during the Generation Z demonstrations against the Kenya Kwanza administration in Mlolongo, Machakos County.
Sources reveal that Otieno was abducted under mysterious circumstances and information about his whereabouts had been futile.
The reports further indicate that he succumbed to burn injuries on July 24.
The family’s efforts to search for him ended on Friday, August 30 after he was found in the Kenyatta hospitalās mortuary, with his body listed with unidentified people.
Otieno’s family has called for justice and demanded those responsible for his death be held accountable. His death adds to the growing list of protestors who lost their lives during the anti-government demonstrations.
