The incumbent Head of State President William Ruto has not been seen publicly on many occasions recently following the bitter fallout with his estranged Deputy and Second in Command Rigathi Gachagua that led to an Impeachment motion aiming to kick Gachagua out of his seat.Having maintained silence on the matter, the president has not confirmed or denied his association with Gachagua’s ouster bid. Today, according to an update by KBC media house, the president has been spotted out for the first time to attend a high profile military and religious event with his deputy missing as he is set to face the senate next week for a plenary hearing.”President William Ruto attends the episcopal installation of Rt Rev. Wallace Ng’ang’a Gachihi, the Bishop Military Ordinariate of Kenya, at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Lang’ata,” read an update by KBC revealing details of Ruto’s whereabouts and the venue of the event.

Photos of Ruto’s warm welcome to the event have gone viral sparking mixed reactions as many Kenyans urge to President to consider saving his besieged Deputy Rigathi Gachagua from facing the impeachment axle at the Senate.
