On Wednesday, 19th of April, president William Ruto sent a message to the people of Sudan who are currently experiencing conflict as a result of leadership disagreement between two military groups.

In his message to Sudan, president Ruto urged the conflicting groups to seize from causing chaos and instead embrace dialogue. The president noted that engaging in conflict won’t solve the leadership crisis being witnessed in the country and that only dialogue is the only path to solving the disputed issues.

President Ruto also noted that the conflicts being witnessed at Sudan doesn’t only affect the country but it also affects the other African countries and the globe in general. Meanwhile, president Ruto noted that Sudan’s neighboring countries will issue a helping hand in resolving the leadership crisis in the country.

Ruto has also noted that the African countries through the unity of IGAD have resolved to help Sudan in solving the country’s internal unrest. The president also condemned the killings of innocent civilians within the country.
