Various leaders celebrated today’s boxing day on different styles. As others held soccer sporting events in respective areas, Kakamega county senator Boni Khalwale held a one of kind cultural celebration.
The Senator organized and publicized a one of kind bull fighting sporting event in Kabras, Kakamega county that attracted hundreds of supporters.
From photos and video evidence shared by the lawmaker, hundreds of locals could be seen crowded at the venue where he had organized the event.
Being a ally of the president, many leaders from the county most of whom belong to the Azimio umbrella boycotted the event. Not even the area MP showed up – although they belong to the same party, the two have long standing rivalry.
Khalwale singlehandedly organized and mobilized locals to attend the event with the help of a handful of Members of County Assembly.
“At today’s end year cultural day at Mahira primary school in Kabras South Constituency. Accompanied by MCAs Wakukha (Kabras South), Mukhala (Idakho South), and Muyeyia (Idakho East),” the lawmaker announced through his social media platforms.
As he seeks to unseat incumbent governor Fernandes Barasa, Khalwale is slowly building ground for the 2027 showdown.
