President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government is on spot following the latest findings that have been released by independent medico legal unit ( IMLU).

As relayed by a report covered on Friday’s people’s daily publication, the IMLU has found that Ruto’s government have failed to deliver on the campaign pledge of ending extrajudicial killings.

According to the report, 482 cases of inhumane torture have been reported unlike 282 that were documented during last year.

Speaking, Independent Medico-Legal Unit managing director Peter Kiama claimed that the current government has failed to protect urban youths who have instead suffered harrassment and torture from police officers.

” The data implies that presidents efforts of ending police abuse and protect urban youths have fallen short as evidenced in the increase of TRVs and demographic profile of Victims “, he said.

His statement comes off in line with documented police brutality cases that have occurred before and after mass action demonstrations staged by Azimio la Umoja one Kenya Coalition’s leaders alias the opposition.

It should be noted that opposition leaders led by former prime minister Raila Odinga accused president William Ruto of dragging the country into old dark days by using police force to settle political scores.

The opposition has even threatened to file a case at ICC against inspector general of police Japheth Koome who later on made a reckless remarks on police brutality victims.
