President William Samoei on Friday toured Kilifi county where he attended the burial ceremony of the father of the Senate speaker, Hon Amason Kingi who was being laid to rest. The head of state was accompanied by his close allies from the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Among those who were present in Kilifi county includes National Assembly Leader of Majority Hon Kimani Ichungwah, Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon Musalia Mudavadi, Deputy President Professor Kithure Kindiki, Senate Leader of Majority Hon Aaron Cheruiyot among other elected leaders from the region.
While addressing the congregation of mourners, Prime Cabinet Secretary Hon Musalia Mudavadi hit back at Catholic Church Bishop Anthony Muheria accusing him of misleading Kenyans. The prime cabinet secretary refuted allegations from Bishop Anthony Muheria who claimed that the current government is like an advertising agency.
He accused President William Samoei Ruto led administration of only advertising its projects to Kenyans and not fulfilling them. He urged the government to act and stop making too many promises and advertisement without implementing any of them.
“According to the constitution it is a must to have public participation to explain government agenda if we say we just do it we might do something that may irritate Kenyans and Kenyans will say that is dictatorship. Calling the government as an advertising agency is misleading Kenyans.” Musalia Mudavadi said.
This comes after the vocal Bishop Anthony Muheria further hit out at the government accusing it of failing to address SHA issues. He added that the government currently owns them about Ksh 250 million after SHA system failed to work.
