President William Ruto has turned the Kenya Kwanza PG Meeting Into a classroom where the MPs were taken through lessons to understand on the plan of government. The PS in the Ministry of Housing Charles Hinga took the MPs through a plan and explained of why 3 percent cuts on salaries of workers is important.
The MPs were first addressed by president William Ruto, later Musalia Mudavadi and other key leaders in government including CS ICT Eliud Owalo. The president explained himself on why he wants the finance Bill 2023 to pass in Parliament without delay.
President Ruto made it clear that his government will not depend on debts and that’s why he wants a clear path of creating wealth. President Ruto has made it clear that his government wants to ensure that Kenyans live within their means.
Ruto explained to MPs that he knows the cost of living is high but again he is being forced to increase taxes based on circumstances. Whether the finance Bill will pass as proposed, let’s wait and see.
