Furthermore, the Kenya Kwanza lawmakers have always linked the Anti government protests led by Raila Amolo Odinga to Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta. The lawmakers have been arguing that Uhuru is the chief financier of the demonstrations that Raila periodically lead. Aside from that, Ksh832 million will be allocated through the National Treasury’ s additional estimates for the administration of the statutory benefits for retired presidents. This translates to a reduction of Ksh 20 million.

Uhuru throughout his tenure did not cut the retirement perks that retired heads of state are entitled to.
