As he gathers African presidents to back his candidature, Raila Odinga has stepped up his campaigns throughout the continent. He has been meeting with various heads of state who will back his candidature in West Africa over the past few days.

Raila is hoping that the Senegalese president, with whom he spoke on Tuesday, will back his aspiration to become the future leader of Africa. By visiting with various heads of state and urging them to back Raila, President William Ruto has also been assisting with the efforts.

Ruto has recently disclosed that he spoke with Hon. Navinchandra Ramgoolam, the incoming prime minister of Mauritius, over the phone and covered a wide range of topics. Developing positive ties between the two nations was one of them.

Additionally, Ruto disclosed that the prime minister assured him that he will back Raila in the upcoming elections.

I was very grateful to Prime Minister Ramgloolam for confirming his support for Kenya’s nominee to Hon. Raila Odinga, the chairperson of the African Union Commission.

Since the number is growing, this is a good path for Raila. Kenyans are eager to watch how the elections, which are scheduled for next year, turn out.
