Some few minutes ago, reports emerged that president William Ruto and Raila Odinga’s team have made another agreement today in the afternoon through their National Dialogue Committee, NADCO who have been holding talks at Bomas of Kenya.
As reported by the Nation Africa, the two camps have agreed on the reconstitution of the IEBC selection panel. On this, they agreed to increase the members of this panel to nine. Previously, the members of the selection were seven. However, it is not yet clear whether the 7 members of this panel who had been appointed by president William Ruto will be dismissed or retained due to this new agreement.
This is the fourth agreement within 24 hours. Yesterday, they agreed on three issues. The first one is the creation of the office of the opposition leader, creation of the office of prime cabinet secretary and lastly the implementation of the two thirds gender rule.
