President William Ruto on Saturday launched the Nandi Hills Water Project in Kipsebwa, Nandi Hills Constituency.
He was accompanied by officials from the Ministry of Water including CS Eric Muuga.
The project, he said, is currently supplying 250,000 litres of water a day to 1,000 households.
He said the project will be expanded to benefit at least 10,000 households in three years.
Earlier on, Ruto presided over the groundbreaking ceremony of the Sh2 billion Malava cluster water supply project Lot III, in Namanja, Kakamega County.
The project has a daily supply capacity of 1.2 million litres a day and will serve more than 100,000 people in different regions including Chemuche, East Kabras, South Kabras, Shirugu Mugai, Butali Chegulo and Manda Shivaga.
