Following the ongoing anti-government protests in country, several leaders have blamed President William Ruto alleging that he is the one responsible for the protest.

According to the source, clergy’s argued that President William Ruto is responsible for fueling the ongoing anti-government protests which has lasted for three weeks. Charles Ong’injo, Bishop of the ACK Maseno South Diocese criticized President William Ruto for reappointing CS’s rather than bringing new CS’s.

“What the President has done is he has made people more angry and probably he doesn’t want people to leave the protests,” he said.

“He is refuelling the protests and even when he is asking who is funding the Gen Z protests, I think he is the greatest funder by the kind of action he is taking,” added Charles Ong’injo.

“As we move forward, those responsible for vetting should be told if we feel like they’re not doing a good job because the list was not what Kenyans expected,” he stated.

In Nakuru County, Catholic Bishop’s also a caused Ruto for not solving the disputes among Gen Zs alluding that it might worsen .

“If the country disintegrates, the yoke on ordinary Kenyans will be heavy and life will be harder than before. The time has come to engage more strategically and refrain from brutal force that can erode the well-intended peaceful protests,” Nakuru Bishop’s cautioned.
