Since coming back from the United States,his Excellency President William Ruto has kow held a third meeting in state house,in absence of his deputy president who has been executing his official duties across the country.
The President started with a meeting to launch last patch of electricity distribution, he last night held a meeting with Mery leaders on the issue of Miraa ban.
This morning again the president has had his third meeting with the the vice-chancellors of public universities and principals of constituent colleges. All these meetings have happened without the Deputy President.
Ruto has noted that he met with the leaders to evaluate the funding model introduced last year.
“The vice-chancellors confirmed that the financing model is working and in three years time will sort out the financial challenges facing our universities.The Government is committed to enhance budgetary support for the differentiated unit cost for continuing students.” He said.
Thia comes as various cabinet Secretaries held a closed door meeting with the deputy president at his official residence at Karen. The meeting was attended by all Cabinet Secretaries to evaluate how the government is so far doing.
