How was your Christmas? Did you enjoy the celebrations with your family members? While many believers celebrated and enjoyed this crucial calendar day, some ended the day in a somber mood.
A six-year-old boy, Grayson Kanyenye, was brutally murdered on Christmas Day. According to the police report in Tanzania, the child was struck on the head with a heavy object by unknown assailants.
The horrifying incident occurred in the Ilazo Extension area in the city of Dodoma
Dodoma Regional Police Commander SACP George Katabazi confirmed the incident and revealed that the boy’s mother returned home from a walk to find her son lifeless.
At the time of the attack, she had entrusted her son’s care to a bodaboda rider identified as Kelvin Gilbert.
Kelvin is currently in police custody for questioning as investigations continue to identify other suspects involved in the heinous act.
Commander Katabazi called on the public to assist law enforcement by providing any information that could lead to the arrest of the perpetrators.
Grayson’s body has been transferred to Dodoma Regional Referral Hospital for further examination.
