Roy Keane has welcomed another grandchild as his daughter Leah has had her first baby.

It is the fourth time that the football star is becoming a granddad, with another grandchild having been born in April earlier this year.

Leah, who is engaged to Southampton defender and England international Taylor Harwood-Bellis, has welcomed her first child.

While she has made her Instagram account private, she has changed her bio to “Iris’s mum” as she revealed she has welcomed a daughter named Iris.

Earlier this year, Leah announced the news of her pregnancy on social media, as she posted a cute video compilation, with the caption reading: “Half of me, half of you.”

The video included a number of sweet clips including Leah revealing to Harwood-Bellis that she was pregnant, along with her trip to the doctors to get her first scan.

Roy first shared that he was a grandfather in 2021 and often shares sweet snaps of his two eldest grandchildren on social media.

In April 2025, he shared that he had become a grandad once more with the arrival of his third grandson.

Roy and his wife Theresa Doyle have five children together, Shannon, Caragh, Aidan, Leah and Alanna.

Roy married wife Theresa in his native Mayfield in Cork back in 1997. They first met while he was playing with Nottingham Forest in 1992.

It has been an amazing year for the family, with two grandchildren being born as well as Roy’s son Aidan getting married earlier this year.

Aidan usually avoids the limelight, but sister Caragh shared the news on Instagram as she wrote: “The most perfect weekend celebrating my brother and my beautiful new sister.”

Roy went on on to take to social media to share another picture from the day.

Posing with wife Theresa and the newlyweds, Roy wrote: “Beautiful day celebrating my son and his wife.”

Meanwhile, daughter Caragh recently revealed that she was left bed-bound for three months before being diagnosed with lupus.

The 29-year-old has been inspired by her surprising health diagnosis to launch her own business to help others in a similar position.

Caragh discovered she had the auto-immune disease in 2021 and suffered a wide range of unpleasant symptoms, including blistered skin, hair loss and pains in her joints.

The illness unfortunately left Caragh, who was 25 at the time, bed-bound and she had to turn down a teaching job in Manchester.
