Kileleshwa ward member of county assembly Hon Robert Alai has come out to allege that some foul game was played in the case of DJ Joe Mfalme that saw him and four others released yesterday from Police custody. Two weeks ago DJ Joe and five others were arrested in connection to the murder of a DCI police officer.
Yesterday the Director of Public Prosecution issued a statement and said that DJ Joe and four of the arrested friends will be state witnesses and one of them who was found guilty for the murder after the investigations charged for murder. Some people however feel like the case was not well handled as the DJ could have used his money to buy his freedom. Robert Alai is among those that believe DJ Joe paid to be freed.
In his recent post on X Alai has said that money was exchanged to buy his freedom. He said that the one person that has been detained as the murderer could not be the man behind the murder of the police officer and the main suspect could have been released.

Kenyans have also criticized the DJ for giving up his friend just to secure his freedom. Some have already started to boycott his concerts as they seek justice for the detained suspect.
