There was pain in Landless area, Thika, Kiambu county after a man found the decomposed body of his mother at her home.
According to an update by Inooro TV journalist Moses Ngige, the man who works far from home last spoke to his mother in December 2022.
All the domestic animals had died from starvation and their bodies also decomposed meaning that the mother might have died some months ago.
Information on whether she had a preexisting illness that could have led to her death remains unclear. Details on her age were also not shared. An autopsy will establish the cause of her death.
Many Kenyans expressed at the sad story, with most stating that it is important for children to always check up on their parents or hire caregivers for them to prevent such incidents.
