Nairobi city woman representative Esther Passaris is married to Pius Mbugua, one of the wealthiest businessmen in Kenya.

Pius Mbugua Ngugi is a Kenyan businessman and entrepreneur best known for owning several major companies and investments in Kenya.

Pius was born on the 8th of March, 1944, in Kiambu County, Kenya, and is considered one of Kenya’s wealthiest businessmen.

His personal life has attracted public attention due to a polygamous marriage, where he is married to Josephine Wambui Ngugi and also in a long-term relationship with Esther Passaris.

 

Pius Ngugi has built a diversified business portfolio across agriculture, food processing, real estate, insurance, and other sectors:

He is the founder and owner of the Kenya Nut Company. Founded in the 1970s, this company is one of Kenya’s largest producers and exporters of macadamia and cashew nuts.

It produces household brands such as Out of Africa Nuts, Nassu Snacks, Aberdare Tea, and Leleshwa Wines.

Adding to the list, he also owns Thika Coffee Mills, a major coffee processing and export business.

The company processes and exports high-quality Kenyan coffee.

He holds shares in the Kenya Alliance insurance company, which operates nationally.

 

Pius has two children with Esther Passaris, a daughter named Makenna and a son named Lefteris.

With his first wife, Josephine Wambui Ngugi, he has four children, who are Angeline, Mbugua, Louise, and Miki.
