A family in Kamulu, Nairobi County, is in deep sorrow following the tragic and untimely death of their 13-year-old son, Jaylan Njoroge. The young boy, a primary school pupil, had gone missing for four days before his lifeless body was discovered in a thicket just 400 meters from his grandmother’s home.
His mother, Jaylan, is devastated by the horrifying circumstances surrounding his murder. According to her, the boy had multiple stab wounds on his body, including defensive injuries on his hands, indicating that he had struggled against his attackers. The grief-stricken mother could not come to terms with the brutal nature of her son’s demise.
The family reported the disappearance to the authorities when he failed to return home from school. However, they were met with silence and uncertainty. Upon the discovery of his body, police launched an investigation but have yet to provide any concrete updates. The family remains in anguish, desperate for answers.
His grandmother, Jane Mumbi, expressed confusion over the tragedy, stating that they could not think of anyone who might have had a grudge against them. The boy’s father, Robert Jombe, is demanding justice, pleading for authorities to identify and apprehend those responsible for this inhumane act. As the family mourns their beloved son, they continue to seek closure and accountability. They are urging law enforcement to intensify investigations and ensure that justice is served for young Jaylan Njoroge.
