After the 14days ultimatum to the government elapse, Azimio la Umoja coalition leader Raila Odinga did today announces the start of nationwide mass action against President William Ruto and the Kenya Kwanza regime.

Speaking at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga foundation in Nairobi, the opposition leader accused the government of overtaxing business a move he says kills the growth of business.

“The over- taxation of this illegitimate regime is killing our businesses and damaging opportunities for the investment. This must immediately stop for Kenya to economically recover. For this reason, Ruto must go,” Raila Odinga stated.

The move has however, subjected Kenyans to mixed political reaction. Some support the formation of movement for Democracy Kenya. Others claim it a waste of time.

Allies to President William Ruto and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua claim Raila Odinga is using protests to force handshake with HE Ruto. However, Azimio la Umoja coalition camp has denied the claims.
