Kileleshwa ward member of county assembly Robert Alai has taken a swipe at Kenyans who are currently fundraising for veteran artist colonel Mustafa.
According to various media sources and publications, the musician has been going through harsh times in his life.Days ago, a video of the musician trended online where he was captured working at a construction site.Later she had interviews where he revealed his life had taken a down turn due to lack of shows and performances which were his main sources of income. He also added that his finances had gone down due to his mum’s who is at the moment I’ll and is undergoing cancer treatment.
Robert Alia through a post on his official Twitter handle said that people should stop throwing money at every problem. He asked those fundraising for Mustafa to sit down and review why he is facing the predicaments he is currently facing.
He has given the example of comedian Omosh who people fundraised for but later nothing changed about him.Alai has stated that sometimes money is a catalyst to a problem when the root cause has not been revised well.
“Don’t throw money at every problem. Sit down and review why Col Moustapha is where he is. How many times have you guys given Omosh money and even a house? Has that been the solution? What’s happening with Col? Money becomes a catalyst for destruction when the root cause hasn’t been revised well,” Alai raised questions on the issue.
